Nebraska has recognized that the experience of the public power industry could be used in the development of the production, storage, and distribution of hydrogen for use in fuel processes and in the enhancement of the economic well-being of this state. While the future of fuel cells and hydrogen energy is still largely being imagined, NPPD has partnered with a start-up firm that will produce hydrogen in significant volumes for use as a boiler fuel at our Sheldon Generating Station in Hallam, Nebraska. Details on this project can be seen at: https://t.co/RnthDAwiXp.

The Nebraska Public Power District has a long-standing reputation for aggressively researching and applying new energy technology to our business. We are leading the way in the development and deployment of cleaner, more efficient and cost-effective technologies.
