Joby Aviation

Joby Aviation was founded in 2009 with the goal of leveraging electric propulsion to extend the benefits of flight to communities around the world while sharply reducing its negative externalities. Joby has completed more than 33,000 miles of all-electric flight with full-scale prototypes of its revolutionary electric air taxi, a quiet aircraft that combines the flexibility of a helicopter with the efficiency of a fixed-wing aircraft.

In 2024, Joby completed a 523-mile flight test of a hydrogen-electric technology demonstrator aircraft, showcasing the potential for emissions-free flight to extend beyond urban air mobility and become part of regional mobility networks.
